Downtown Parking & Streetscape Project

Dear Capac Residents and Community Members,

Please see the following Streetscape Project Announcement:

Our Streetscape project is set to break ground on Monday, July 27th, 2026. We will have detour route signage marked in the next few days. We understand that this may cause some inconvenience during construction, and we apologize in advance.

The Village of Capac is committed to keeping traffic moving and businesses open. During construction, we anticipate that the front sidewalk along Main Street will remain intact for most of the project and will only be removed once our contractors are ready to pour the new sidewalk. This will allow the public to reach businesses in our downtown.

We also have parking available for downtown residents, business consumers, and employees. This includes public parking and on-street parking. Please see the attached parking map for more details.

All road construction project updates will be provided on our website (www.villageofcapac.com) and our Facebook page. If you need immediate assistance, please reach out to me at the contact information on the letterhead.

VILLAGE OF CAPAC STREETSCAPE ANNOUNCEMENT

Location: Main Street between Aldrich and Meier Street

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Completion Date: October 30th, 2026 (anticipated earlier)

Project: Complete reconstruction of the street, curbing, sidewalk, and utilities on Main Street in the Central Business District.

Traffic: Local and through traffic will be detoured with directional signage. All businesses will remain open and accessible. Parking maps will be provided in the near future, with business parking located on Mill Street and in the municipal parking lots.
