The Village of Capac is seeking bids for the construction of improvements on Park Street. Bids will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. local time on July 12, 2024, at the Village Hall. The project includes tasks such as HMA surface removal, fine grading, 1500 tons of HMA paving, installation of concrete curb ramps, and other related work.

The Village of Capac received a grant up to $6,055,000 from a highly competitive grant process. These grant funds will improve and repair our current water system and will impact the community for decades to come. This project will improve water quality, distribution and new technology for operation of the system.

Join us for our 1st Fall Festival & Chili Cook-Off on Saturday September 30th! There will be a chili walk & tasting, cider & donuts, face painting, hay rides, farmers & craft market, pumpkin painting, and live entertainment!

The Capac Library will be holding several mid-week, family friendly events at Melody Park.

There will also be free Yoga classes on Wednesday evenings, hosted by Rooted Yoga.

City wide garage sales start this week! Starting this Thursday (7/20) through Sunday (7/23) you can find garage sales happening throughout town.

Congratulations to Sheila McDonald who won the "Name the Park" contest for our new pocket park, now known as Melody Park! Sheila McDonald (left) was presented with the $50 gift card by Village President, Debbie Hlubic (right).

The Village Council has chosen one of the names that were submitted through the survey that was completed recently. The new name for the park at 201 N. Main Street is Melody Park! Thank you to all that participated in the survey. We look forward to enjoying the new park.

Become a vendor at our farmers market!

If you’ve driven by the Pocket Park recently then you may have noticed a few projects going on. This past week trees have been planted and concrete forms have been put in. Our park is beginning to look like a park! It won’t be long before we are enjoying this new space. Don’t forget about Music on Main coming up in a few weeks. Bring your friends and family and enjoy free live music with your neighbors. The first date is Thursday, July 13th at 7 PM.

The Village of Capac will start fire hydrant flushing on April 3, 2023.

The Village of Capac Memorial Tree, Bench, or Picnic Table program provides an opportunity to honor people, organizations, or a commemorative event by donating a tree, bench, and/or a table to be placed in one of our beautiful parks or downtown area. Donations to this program are unique gifts that will last a lifetime.
