Water Meter & Reader Replacement Project
Upgrading our water system for greater efficiency and long-term savings.
Water Meter & Reader Replacement (DWSRF Grant Project)
As part of the Village of Capac’s Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) grant project, all water meters and readers in the Village’s water system will be replaced.
Who’s doing the work?
The Village has contracted VEPO Metering and FERGUSON Waterworks to install the new meters/readers. Installations typically occur inside your home.
What to expect next
Within the next few weeks, residents will receive a mailed notice with instructions to schedule an appointment. Please wait for that mailed notice before scheduling. Most installations take about 20 minutes once the installer is on site.
Why this project matters
Upgrading meters improves efficiency and reduces operational costs. After the project, the Village will no longer need to read meters manually.
